Sacred Games 2 by Netflix scene hit the devout feelings of the Sikh community

The most talking and undoubtedly the successful Netflix Sacred Games is now up with its second season. The reactions are mixed for the Season 2 though, as compared to the Season 1, which was exceptional with its direction and content. As the Season 2 is out and so are the controversies. The latest one is from the scene where Saif Ali Khan who is playing the role of cop Sartaj Singh takes of his Kada and tosses into the water. The Kada is supposed to be a religious emblem for the Sikh community that has to be respected.

The scene has stirred anxiety and anger amongst the community, which is considering it as a matter of insult. An MLA from Delhi, Manjinder Singh Sirsa has lashed out director Anurag Kashyap along with the Netflix for being so numb about not considering religious sentiments of one of the largest community within India.

The Akali Dal politician has called out for legal proceedings of the scene would not be deleted from the famous web series.

Sirsa chose to utter his anger on the social media platform Twitter where he expressed about Bollywood’s insensitivity towards mocking religious feelings despite knowing that it is very important to us. The Makers must do proper research on the character while giving it a certain identity.

The most popular show based on the novel by Vikram Chandra published in 2006 stars Saif Ali Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Kalki Koechlin and many others. The series is directed by Anurag Kashyap and Neeraj Ghaywan.
