Jinnah airport to experience a technological change that will enhance the overall flying experience. There is no need of waiting in lines for the boarding passes at Jinnah International Airport, Karachi. The self check- in automated booths are installed at the airport for the ease of passengers that will be a time-saving step.
At the initial stage, CAA has decided to install these kiosks in the five big airports of Pakistan. That will be at the airports of Quetta, Multan, Faisalabad, Karachi & Islamabad.
These booths are placed at the international and domestic lounges. 15 of these kiosks will be installed at each airport.
How to attain the boarding pass
The passengers can obtain their boarding passes by entering their ticket numbers, passport numbers & CNIC details. This facility will make things much easier for those passengers who are only carrying single baggage and alone.
This new change will bring positive changes to the country’s tourism and airport operations. Tourists, who will be traveling to Pakistan will find the Jinnah airport and other as per the standard of other major airports globally.
Civil Aviation Authority has also asked airlines to upgrade their systems with this automatic check-in process.
Daily, thousands of passengers fly through Jinnah airport and other big airports of Pakistan. The installation of these automatic boarding booths will be a time saving mechanism. Many busy airports have adopted this mode of functioning and it has been a successful experiment.
